The American pharmacy system is broken. Long queues, overworked staff, and crumbling infrastructure leave millions struggling to access essential medication. As pharmacies close and the pharmacist shortage worsens, patients deserve something better.
Rmix was founded to solve it.
We deploy advanced pharmacy robotics that operate 24/7 with sub-30-second precision; automating dispensing with a tamper-evident audit trail so pharmacists can focus on what matters: patient care.
Backed by entrepreneurs with nine-figure exits, we're a Physical AI company targeting a $50B market. In 2026, we're scaling across national chains to prove that AI and next-gen robotics can transform healthcare delivery.
About the Role:
This is a foundational hire. You own the infrastructure that a pharmacy robot fleet runs on — and you set the standard for how infrastructure is built. Engineers write application code; you make sure it deploys reliably, scales correctly, stays secure, and is observable in production.
You don't write dispense logic. You own the platform it runs on: Terraform, CI/CD, deployment automation, security scanning, observability, certificate management, and the production environment that must pass a mandated penetration test. You write code to solve infrastructure problems, not just configure tools.
What You'll Own:
Infrastructure as code — Terraform modules, multi-environment strategy (dev, staging, production), production hardening
CI/CD — Build, test, scan, and deploy pipelines for Rust and TypeScript services
Deployment automation — Reliable deploys in minutes. Docker builds. Blue/green or rolling deployments.
Observability — Dashboards, alerting, structured logging, health endpoints, SLO monitoring
Day 30: Understand the existing infrastructure. Deploys are reliable. Security scanning enabled in CI. First monitoring dashboard operational.
Day 60: Security hardening complete. CI/CD extended with full scanning. Alerting configured with escalation paths. Cost assessment delivered.
Day 90: Production environment ready for pilot. Pen test prep done. OTA pipeline prototyped. Every service has a health dashboard, alerts, and a runbook.
Required Qualifications and Experiences:
3+ years Terraform / IaC - Production modules, state management, multi-environment promotion
AWS deep — VPC, ECS, RDS, IAM, KMS, SQS, CloudWatch. You understand the security model
CI/CD — GitHub Actions or equivalent. Pipeline-as-code, caching, deployment gates
Docker — Multi-stage builds, image optimization, production deployment
Linux — System administration, troubleshooting, performance analysis
Nice-to-Haves:
Rust toolchain (cargo, clippy, cross-compilation)
IoT fleet management or device provisioning at scale
AWS cost optimization
Healthcare or regulated industry experience
How We Hire:
Four steps. Tight loop - That's All!
Recruiter Screen: (30 min) — Motivation, logistics, and whether you naturally think in terms of correctness and ownership.
Technical Interview: (90 min) — You receive a broken infrastructure setup 24 hours before. We discuss your debugging approach, fix and improve together, and talk through operational thinking.
Design Interview: (60 min) — We go deeper on the same exercise. How would you deploy to a fleet of pharmacy robots? What's your staged rollout strategy? What breaks and how do you know?
Leadership Interview: (60 min) — Culture, vision, long-term fit.
The technical and design interviews are two sides of the same coin — first you build it, then we pressure-test the thinking behind it.
What We Offer:
Early-stage equity in automated pharmacy dispensing at scale
Direct impact — your code dispenses medication to real patients
Small team, zero bureaucracy, high trust
Work directly with a CTO from Tesla, Waymo, and Zipline
Direct Patient Impact: Your code will improve healthcare outcomes for millions of patients
Market Leadership: Ground-floor opportunity to define an entirely new category of healthcare technology
Technical Innovation: Work on genuinely novel problems at the intersection of AI, robotics, and healthcare
Career Acceleration: High-visibility role with significant growth potential as the company scales
Team and Culture:
World-Class Team: Work alongside exceptional engineers, AI researchers, and healthcare experts
Direct Access: Report directly to the CTO/Co-founder with significant autonomy and influence
Innovation Focus: Culture that prioritizes breakthrough thinking and rapid experimentation
Mission-Driven: Team united around the goal of transforming healthcare through technology
Our Values:
Servant Leadership – Make those around you better.
Do the Hard Things – Healthcare, hardware, and company-building are all hard. We do them anyway. Convenience for us is life-changing for those we serve.
Own Your Work – Be accountable. Take pride in your output. Rmix lives and dies by what you do — own it fully.
Default is Now – There's no better time than today. Default to action. What can we prove, learn, or simplify right now.
