- Comfort operating in high-intensity, technical, or confidential environments.
- Proactive mindset, attention to detail, and commitment to discretion.
- A steady, calm, and structured working style that complements a fast-moving executive with a high cognitive load and limited bandwidth for administrative tasks.
Impact

You’ll give leadership back their most valuable resource—time—and ensure Anadyr Horizon executes with precision as we scale. Your support will directly improve coordination across the leadership track, strengthening communication flow and reducing friction created by competing priorities or delayed responses.

MORTGAGE LOAN ORIGINATOR
Independent Broker Platform | W2 or 1099 | Remote / Flexible
This isn't a job. It's a platform for professionals who want to own their career.
Whether you're a high-volume producer who runs a lean machine, a relationship-first originator who lives on referrals, a specialist in niche products like jumbo or reverse, a newer originator building your foundation, or a branch builder growing a team — this platform was engineered to meet you where you are and scale with where you're going.
WHO WE ARE
We are one of the nation's largest and longest-standing independent mortgage broker platforms — 30+ years in the industry, over 84,000 families served, and nearly $5.5 billion in funded loans. We are not a retail bank. We are not a call center. We are a platform built exclusively for loan originators who want wholesale access, maximum comp, and zero corporate red tape.
With a network of over 100 wholesale lenders — including top-tier partners — we beat retail bank and correspondent pricing 90–95% of the time. You'll never lose a deal because you didn't have the product or the rate.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Licensed in 41 states. Forward, reverse, and commercial origination all under one roof. If you want to grow your business, diversify your income streams, or simply stop leaving money on the table — this is the platform.
Product | What You Keep |
Conventional, FHA, VA | Industry's highest commission split |
Jumbo & Non-QM | W2 or 1099 — your choice |
Reverse (HECM & Jumbo) | Fast, direct payouts |
Commercial & Multi-Family | Keep your book, build your brand |
Construction & Bridge | Compliance handled for you |
THIS ROLE IS BUILT FOR YOU — ALL 5 OF YOU
We recognize that no two loan officers are the same. Here's how this platform works for every profile:
1 | The High-Volume Producer You close 10–30+ loans a month and you need a machine behind you — fast lender decisions, clean tech, automated file submissions, and QC handled so you can stay in origination mode. Our streamlined platform dramatically cuts time from app to funding. Bring your pipeline and keep almost everything you earn. |
2 | The Relationship Builder Your business runs on Realtors, financial planners, CPAs, and past clients. You want competitive rates that make your referral partners look brilliant. With access to wholesale pricing and nearly 100 lenders, you'll always have the best offer at the table. Your personal brand is yours to keep — we give you the marketing engine to amplify it. |
3 | The Product Specialist Reverse mortgages, jumbo, Non-QM, commercial, construction — if you've carved out a niche, we have the lender relationships and dedicated division support to go deep with you. Our reverse division offers full origination, sales, and support training. Our commercial division opens doors beyond residential. |
4 | The Growth-Minded Originator You have your license, you have hustle, and you want to build right. Our QuickStart onboarding gets you originating on the platform fast. A dedicated curriculum for retail-to-broker transitions, quarterly workshops led by top producers, live Chat support, and a community of 1,000+ LOs means you're never on an island. |
5 | The Branch Builder / Team Leader You think in terms of production units, not just loan count. Our platform supports branch structures that let you recruit, mentor, and grow — with the compliance, lender relationships, and brand infrastructure already built. You focus on leadership; we handle the back-end. |
WHAT YOU GET

- 2 years experience as an LO
- Ideally written 12+ loans in the last 12 calendar months
WHY BROKERS CHOOSE THIS PLATFORM
"With access to over 100 lenders, you'll never lose a deal to rate or lack of product."
"You are your own boss, but not alone in business."
"Management keeps my files in compliance, pricing high, and rates low. I keep almost all my commission."
We're not the right fit for everyone. If you need hand-held lead generation or require heavy management oversight, this platform may not be for you — and we respect that. But if you're ready to run a real business with the best infrastructure in the independent broker channel, we should talk.

- Equity opportunities and comprehensive benefits.
- Flexible hybrid work environment in Toronto, fostering both deep focus and collaborative efforts.
- Culture that values intellectual curiosity, edge-finding, and results-driven work.
Why Occupier:
As the first GTM Engineer, you will have greenfield ownership of the entire revenue supply chain. You will collaborate with a Chief Revenue Officer who is a strategic partner in designing the architecture. Early Full-Stack Python Engineer — Strategic Warning AI
Anadyr Horizon
Location: Fully Remote but must have UK/EU work authorization
Type: Full-time contractor, with a path to conversion to salaried role + equity
Reports to: Chief Scientific Officer (until Head of Engineering is hired)
Compensation: $8,000 USD/month contractor rate
Background Screening: Required per client + legal obligations
Website: www.anadyr-horizon.com
The Mission
Anadyr Horizon builds Strategic Warning AI — technology designed to help governments and institutions see crises before they happen and prevent escalation.
This isn’t “yet another stack.”
You’ll be engineering the backbone of a system used by analysts, operators, and real-world decision-makers navigating high-pressure environments.
We’re assembling a founding engineering team — just three people — to take research prototypes and turn them into production systems that actually shape global outcomes.
If you’ve ever wanted to say “I built the infrastructure behind a new category of intelligence software”, this is that moment.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain FastAPI services that power agentic simulations and data pipelines.
- Design PostgreSQL schemas, optimize queries, and manage migrations (SQL proficiency required).
- Deploy and monitor workloads on AWS with CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Set up and maintain observability (metrics, logs, traces, error handling) with SLO/SLA thinking and privacy-safe product analytics/UX telemetry (e.g., PostHog/OpenReplay or Hotjar with strict field masking, consent, and data-residency controls).
- Collaborate on system design with research and product leads — from concept → prototype → production.
- Contribute to engineering standards: code review, testing, linting, typed Python, and rollback plans.
What You’ll Bring
- Proficient in Python and SQL; strong back-end engineering fundamentals.
- Experience with Linux and building/consuming APIs.
- Ability to pick up new technologies quickly (e.g., AWS cloud services).
- Docker experience for local development and deployment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Familiarity with React and Next.js is a bonus (not a strict requirement).
- Emphasis on strong coding skills and back-end depth over front-end specialization.
Must-Have Experience
- 3–5+ years shipping production web applications with clear ownership of features from design to deploy (preferably in small, high-velocity teams).
- Backend depth in Python: FastAPI (preferred) or Flask, strong async fundamentals, Pydantic/typing, and SQL/PostgreSQL mastery (schema design, indexing, query plans, migrations).
- Frontend capability, not dependency: comfortable building and maintaining React + TypeScript views and UI flows; deep front-end specialization is not required.
- DevOps proficiency: hands-on with Docker, CI/CD (e.g., GitHub Actions), and practical AWS (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM basics); able to stand up and monitor services.
- Observability + reliability: metrics, logs, traces (OpenTelemetry/Prometheus/Grafana) and SLO/SLA thinking;
- privacy-safe product analytics/UX telemetry (e.g., PostHog/OpenReplay or Hotjar with strict field masking, consent, and data-residency controls).
- Security-minded habits: least-privilege IAM, secrets management, auditability, and rollback plans.
- Communication & collaboration: clear written English (PRs/design notes/runbooks), effective remote collaboration during EU time zones, and a bias to ship.
Nice-to-Have
- Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/CloudFormation), Docker.
- Observability tools (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana) and SLO/SLA thinking.
- ML serving experience (FastAPI inference endpoints, vector databases, model registries).
- Experience with simulation-heavy or data-intensive applications.
- Security & compliance: least-privilege IAM, secrets management, audit trails, and exposure to SOC-2/GDPR/data-residency practices.
Why You’ll Love It Here
You’re joining at the moment before the engineering culture solidifies — which means:
- Early influence: Help shape the engineering stack and team culture from the ground up, we’re moving from prototype to scalable, and your decisions will set the standards we grow on.
- Mission with consequence: Your code helps analysts and policymakers prevent crises, not react to them.

Company Overview
Do you want to help entrepreneurs scale the next generation of high-impact unicorns? Then join us at Capital Department, a leading advisory firm helping startups democratize access to capital.
Capital Department is on a mission to open private markets to everyone, having helped founders raise $250M+ to date. As our Investor Relations Strategy & Ops lead, you will partner directly with startup CEOs to navigate the complexities of raising capital through Reg CF and Reg D frameworks.
We’re an ambitious team of professionals who have worked with VC-backed startups and Fortune 500 companies. We are graduates of Cornell, Oxford, Stanford, Georgetown, and UCLA, and our work has been featured in Forbes, PBS, The New York Times, The Financial Times, and Fast Company.
The Role
In close partnership with founders and the Capital Department leadership team, you will focus on the strategic communication and operational management of investor pools:
- Own the Investor Journey: Lead the end-to-end IR strategy, from crafting the initial investment narrative to managing post-launch investor communications.
- Operationalize the Funnel: Manage and optimize investor pipelines. You'll lead deal performance analysis to ensure rounds are gaining momentum.
- Founder Advisory: Act as a strategic partner to world-class CEOs, guiding them through the nuances of public-facing capital raises.
- Narrative & Content Excellence: Write persuasive copy for investor decks, email campaigns, and pitch materials. You know how to turn complex business models into compelling stories.
- Platform & Ecosystem Management: Oversee relationships with Reg CF/Reg D platforms and implement scalable systems to enhance investor engagement.
What are we looking for?
We value startup grit, strategic thinking, and a high-performance background. We are looking for candidates who can operate at the level our visionary founders expect.
- Startup DNA: 5+ years of experience in the startup ecosystem (high-growth companies, VC firms, or as a founder). You thrive in fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environments.
- The IR Mindset: Experience in Investor Relations, Marketing, or Chief of Staff roles where you managed complex stakeholders and high-stakes communications.
- Exceptional Communication: You possess executive presence. You can lead a call with a CEO in the morning and write a technical investor update in the afternoon.
- Operational Rigor: You are meticulously organized. You enjoy building systems (Asana, HubSpot, etc.) to ensure no detail falls through the cracks.
- Storytelling Pro: You have a sharp eye for design and a gift for copy. You can take a messy founder vision and turn it into a crisp, professional investor deck.
Tech Toolkit
You should be "tech-native" and comfortable with:
- Collaboration: Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Asana.
- Design/Content: Familiarity with Canva, Figma, or similar tools to oversee creative assets.
- Automation: Experience with CRM or Email Marketing tools (e.g., Klaviyo, HubSpot) and AI-productivity tools (e.g., Claude/ChatGPT).
Why join us?
- High Impact: You will be the primary engine behind the success of multiple high-growth startups.
- Network: Build a powerful personal brand within the venture capital and startup landscape.
- Culture: Work with an ambitious, remote-first team that values autonomy and excellence.
