About the job

What your experience will be

As Director of Sales, East Region, you will own revenue performance, pipeline health, and team development across the East territory. You will lead and scale a team of up to 10 Account Executives, driving consistent execution while elevating the maturity of our go-to-market motion.

This role is both strategic and hands-on. You’ll coach AEs through complex deal cycles, inspect pipeline and forecasts with rigor, and partner closely with Revenue Operations, Marketing, Product, and Customer Success to ensure alignment across the full customer journey.

You will be responsible not just for hitting the number, but for building a repeatable, scalable sales engine, establishing standards, reinforcing best practices, and developing future sales leaders.

What success looks like

Revenue & Forecast Ownership
Own the East region revenue number with disciplined forecasting accuracy and consistent attainment. Ensure healthy pipeline coverage and predictable execution across all AEs.

Team Leadership & Development
Hire, onboard, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Account Executives. Set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and actively develop top performers into senior sellers and future leaders.

Pipeline & Deal Rigor
Establish and enforce strong pipeline hygiene, deal inspection, and qualification standards. Coach AEs through complex, multi-stakeholder deals with a focus on value articulation and ROI.

Go-To-Market Execution
Partner with Marketing and Rev Ops to align Focus Market and Region strategy, demand generation, and outbound focus. Ensure smooth handoffs and clear accountability across the funnel. Be in-field with AEs to drive new business and expansion revenue growth, with particular emphasis on SMB Focus Markets.

Cross-Functional Influence
Serve as a key voice of the customer and field insights back to Product, Customer Success, and Leadership. Help shape messaging, pricing feedback, and roadmap prioritization based on market signals.

What you will bring

You bring 7–10+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience, including 3+ years leading and scaling AE teams. You have managed teams of 6–10+ field sellers / outside sales and owned a regional or segment-level number.

You have a strong command of modern sales methodologies and understand how to coach both early-career and senior AEs. You know how to inspect deals, forecast accurately, and drive performance without micromanaging.

You are data-driven and comfortable working closely with RevOps on pipeline analytics, territory design, and capacity planning. You understand how to balance short-term execution with long-term scale.

You communicate with clarity and executive presence, able to coach sellers, influence peers, and partner effectively with leadership.

Experience selling SaaS or AI-powered solutions into SMB and Mid-Market environments is strongly preferred.

Compensation & Location

Compensation for this role is location-based and benchmarked against local market data aligned to the employee’s primary work location. Total compensation includes a mix of cash and equity and may vary by location, role level, and experience. Our range is therefore wide and not meant as a negotiation range.
