Required Education: High School Diploma OR General Education Diploma (GED)Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience: Minimum two (2) years of previous experience in a healthcare setting required Minimum one (1) year of phone experience including outbound and/or inbound calls and escalations required Knowledge of medical terminology required Typing speed of at least 35 wpm Experience using a 10-key touchpad required Strong customer service skills with the ability to multitask Demonstrated customer focus and ability to understand customer needs Working knowledge of CPT-4 and ICD-9 coding principles or ability to quickly learnOverview: Position: Outside Referral Coordinator Location: Atlanta, GA 30305 Work Model: KP Onsite Shift: Mon to Fri, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Duration: Contract with option to extend; potential FTE conversion if business need arises Interview Process: Vetting through agency and Naomi Witter Parking: Parking deck available; permit provided Dress Code: Professional Vaccination Requirement: Flu vaccination required before starting the roleJob Summary:The Outside Referral Coordinator is responsible for processing outside medical referrals and supporting patients and members through effective coordination and communication. This role functions as a liaison between patients, providers, and departments while ensuring timely and accurate referral processing.Job Responsibilities: Process outside medical referrals accurately and efficiently Serve as a liaison between members/patients, providers, and internal departments Provide excellent customer service and maintain strong member/patient relationships Actively seek information to understand member/patient circumstances, problems, and expectations Build rapport and cooperative relationships with members and patients Respond quickly to meet member/patient needs and help resolve issues Perform clerical and administrative procedures related to referral processing Maintain a strong focus on patient needs and deliver a positive service experienceIndustry:Healthcare / Managed Care Only those lawfully authorized to work in the designated country associated with the position will be considered.
