The Role

We are hiring a dedicated Commercial Insurance Account Manager to own the entire lifecycle and service/renewal process for a dedicated book of business with commercial clients. You will be the primary point of contact for clients post-sale, ensuring their coverage is accurate, renewals are handled proactively, and their questions are answered promptly and professionally.

This is a long-term role for someone who wants to build expertise and grow with the agency. We invest in the right person, including licensing support, training, and a clear path for advancement.


What You'll Do

  • Manage the entire lifecycle for an existing book of commercial lines accounts, including onboarding new clients, managing renewals, and identifying opportunities for cross-selling and upselling.
  • Expertly handle a range of commercial coverages including General Liability, Workers' Compensation, Professional Liability, Commercial Property, Commercial Auto, and Cyber insurance.
  • Quote, bind, and issue new commercial policies in coordination with carriers.
  • Issue certificates of insurance (COIs) and respond to client requests with accuracy and speed.
  • Process endorsements, policy changes, audits, and binders accurately and within carrier timelines.
  • Review policies for coverage accuracy prior to delivery; flag discrepancies proactively.
  • Communicate proactively and professionally with clients and underwriters across all formats, including email, text, and phone calls.
  • Maintain accurate client records and documentation in the agency management system.
  • Support the agency principal on new business submissions as needed.


What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of commercial lines insurance experience (account management or CSR role) with a proven track record of managing a commercial book of business.
  • Active Property & Casualty license required (home state; California reciprocity support provided).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills: your communication with clients and underwriters is clear, organized, and professional.
  • Comfortable and effective communicating via email, text, and phone calls.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong track record of accuracy and follow-through.
  • Self-starter who can manage their own workflow without close supervision.
  • Comfortable working fully remote with communication across multiple digital formats.
