About the role

  • Lead the electrical engineering design, development, and validation of power, control, motion, and sensing subsystems in our devices
  • Define the electrical architecture and establish component selection standards that balance reliability, cost, and regulatory compliance for a pharmaceutical environment
  • Drive schematic and PCB layout reviews, ensuring designs meet safety, EMC, and relevant medical quality standards before release to manufacturing
  • Partner with the firmware, software, and mechanical engineering leads to align on interface specifications, data handling, signal routing, wire harness definition, and integration timelines across disciplines
  • Spearhead the testing strategy to ensure all validation and verification activities provide sufficient coverage of the product features and expected failure recovery modes

  • Experience balancing speed of development with establishing engineering processes such as design reviews, test specifications, and DFM checkpoints
  • Ability to recruit, develop, and mentor electrical engineers while maintaining hands-on involvement in critical design work
  • Previous successful partnerships with mechanical, software, and product teams via excellent cross-functional communication skills
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance considerations relevant to safety-critical or medical-adjacent products (e.g., UL, EMC, IEC standards)
